SC Tweets

SCTweets.com is a simple site really.  SC’s elected officials do all the work. We just combine all the feeds and publish them in one place.

This site was thought up by SC Representative Dan Hamilton and political operative Wesley Donehue when trying to find a creative way to showcase SC’s tech-savvy elected officials. Specifically, we expect the Statehouse crew to be twittering a lot from the floor and we thought it would be cool to see what they were saying. That goal somehow expanded and we decided to showcase all South Carolina politicos with our directory. We then gave them a way to interact through #sctweets.

THE #SCTWEETS HASHTAG

We created the #sctweets hashtag to showcase important political tweets. Please use it to alert us of breaking news or important conversations.  We will also use it for special events such as the State of the State and future debates.

THE SC POLITICO TWITTER DIRECTORY

If you aren’t listed in our directory, it’s because you don’t meet the criteria or we don’t know that you’re out there twittering.

What’s the criteria?  Good question. To be listed in the SC Twitter Politico Directory you must be…

• a South Carolina elected official,
• a political organization,
• a blogger who writes more than half your content on SC politics,
• a full time political employee,
• the hardest of hard core political activists (and we do mean hard core),
• or a SC media outlet.
